Floriane offers private mentorship sessions for already certified Pilates teachers. More information here.

We teach Mat and Reformer as part of the method but not just by itself and not in a group setting.

There are many! You get a workout and corrections that are tailored to your body and your rhythm, so you progress faster.
You get your coach’s undivided attention, so you are more accountable.
You get privacy, so it’s truly your “me time” away from everyone else.
Best of all, you get bespoke feedback and tactile adjustments. Trust us when we say you won’t want to share.
-
50 min sessions are achievable by anyone who is reasonably active and injury-free. Although you will work hard, you will leave the studio feeling stronger and energized. Remember we’re here to build you up and put more fuel in the tank, not drain it. We will work at a pace that is sustainable for you.
However, 30 min sessions may be more appropriate if your body is deconditioned, if you are suffering from a neurodegenerative disease, or recovering from an injury.

It’s up to you. Duets are more affordable, but be aware that you will be sharing your coach’s attention with someone whose needs may be very different than yours. That said, it may be fun to exercise with your partner/child/best friend and make both of you more accountable.

Everything. The whole shebang. We even have less commonly-found pieces like:
a Guillotine (with Floriane being French, it was a must). It is the first one in Atlantic Canada, and one of just a few (we think 5) nationwide.
a High-Back Chair; a wonderfully versatile piece of apparatus unlike anything else; the very first (and so far only one) of its kind in Canada .
All our large pieces are made by Legacy Pilates (with the exception of the High-Back Chair, by Deborah Lessen Pilates Equipment). A few smaller pieces are made by Gratz, Bridge Pilates , Pilates Lineage and TecnoPilates, all brands pertaining to a handful of recognised Authentic Pilates apparatus manufacturers in the world. Rest assured you will be training with the best gear.

Each session will be tailored to your individual needs, but you will do some of the following:
stand, sit, kneel, lie down whilst…
pulling, pushing, lifting, reaching in order to…
straighten, strengthen and realign your body from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
-
Any is better than none of course, but if you are committed to making a real change, at least twice a week. Three times a week will get you there faster, once a week will get you there slower.
Your other commitments and finances will dictate how you split these 2-3 times between your studio sessions and your home mat practice (a mat workout can be anything between 10 and 45 min). Our goal is to help you become as independent in your practice as possible.
We will discuss your needs and goals together in your first session and review them at regular intervals. Whatever they are, we’re here to help you achieve them in a way that works for you, but we can guarantee this: Pilates will become a way of life, because it just makes everything better. -
Probably not.
However, Pilates will help you get stronger, develop a better awareness of where your body is in space and how to move better. Pilates will likely make you love your body more when you see all the amazing things you didn’t know it could do - but a weight-loss programme it is not.
After all, we are not dietitians, we are movement educators. -
You bet.
The studio is an inclusive, non-judgmental, safe space and you are welcome here, regardless of your age, gender expression, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, dis/ability (please note the studio is accessed through one flight of stairs), body size or body shape.
You have a body and you would like to move it better?
We’re here for you.

Please rest assured we have comprehensive measures in place.
These include the provision of surgical masks (on request) and hand sanitizer (every time), spacing of appointments and the disinfecting of all equipment after each client.
There are absolutely no group classes.
The studio is equipped with an air purifier with a HEPA filter for optimal air quality.
Masks are your choice entirely: for yourself and for your teacher (we are always happy to mask upon request).

Change requires consistency.
And because we are a small studio with very limited capacity, we mostly onboard students who are ready to start their Pilates journey and commit to it for a minimum of 6 months.
However, we don’t take any prisoners on this ship: we want to make sure that you are fully happy to embark on this journey and that we’re a good fit for each other.
We will first meet you for a free chat before you purchase anything. This is your chance to see the studio and ask any questions you may have and for us to explain how we work. Then you can decide whether to purchase one session or an intro pack (4 sessions). And only after completing those sessions will you decide whether becoming a member is right for you.
No hard sale here. We’re building a long-term relationship to support you on your fitness and wellness journey: it needs to feel right! Finally, if we can accommodate it, we are always happy to deliver ad hoc single sessions to students who regularly practice Pilates elsewhere but only need private instruction now and again (e.g. occasional visitors to Fredericton, certified Pilates teachers, etc.).
-
Whilst we do not offer direct billing, we would recommend you review your benefits package with your insurance provider, particularly if you have group benefit, as you may have a yearly fitness allowance that you can use towards your Pilates practice.
-
A strict 24h notice is required for all cancellations.
Snow days do not mean cancellation: if you or your teacher cannot make it to the studio, your session will be moved online (each session comes with its own link).
-
Please do not attend the studio if you are not feeling well.
Please aim to arrive at the studio 5 min before your session.
The studio has allocated parking for 1 car. If you are arriving for a duet in separate cars, please park one on the road (there are several metered spots in front of the building and free parking on adjacent streets).
Please leave your shoes outside the door.
Please keep scented products to a minimum.
Please turn off your phone on entering the studio.
To prevent costly damage to the upholstery, we ask that you remove all jewellery, rings, watch, Fitbit. No zips, buckles or buttons allowed on sportswear.
In the interest of safety and hygiene, we ask that you wear good quality grippy socks with full toe coverage (e.g. Toesox).
For safety purposes, chewing gum is not allowed.
At the end of your workout, please spray and wipe the apparatus clean. We will then sanitize it.
