private continuing education sessions

for Pilates teachers

With Floriane

  • You are a fully certified Pilates teacher, either classically trained or “classically curious” (i.e. trained in contemporary Pilates but you’d like to know more about classical Pilates);

  • You have questions. Perhaps those weren’t answered or welcome in your original programme, perhaps you are no longer in touch with your first teacher, perhaps you just want a different set of eyes;

  • You are a curious (maybe even a tad nerdy), playful, honest, open-minded individual with a growth mindset;

  • You want to develop your confidence, creativity and sense of agency.

Whether you are newly certified or have been teaching for years, whether you have access to a fully equipped studio or a mat, if the above sounds like you, Let’s meet.

ABOUT You:

About my approach & principles:

I offer a safe space for movement exploration.

I am not a “grand master teacher” (or any other buzz phrase to signal hierarchy). I consider myself a peer, a guide, a cheerleader and a general “co-figurer out of sh*t”. I am beside you on your Pilates journey. I firmly believe that your body knows best.

I am however an educator with 25+ years experience and over the course of my career, I’ve developed a solid understanding of how people learn. I know about scaffolding and learning outcomes. I can read when someone is/is not ready for an exercise or a concept.

With me by your side, you are allowed to try out new things in a safe and nurturing environment, to get them wrong until you figure them out, and to focus on the learning process. There are no stupid questions and there is absolutely a range of good answers.

As a former researcher, I also understand the importance of learning from different sources to get a fuller picture and listening to different voices to find your own. Exclusivity is the enemy of critical thinking. I am a committed lifelong student who likes to garner little gems from different teachers.

If mine sounds like one of the voices you’d like to hear, Let’s meet.

“you are offering me a thoughtful, creative spin on the set way of doing the classical order. You hold space for me during our lesson and outside our lesson. It feels like you have ideas on how to help me grow as a mover”

Sessions are delivered online and will be tailored to your individual needs as a practitioner, teacher and/or business owner. Whether you need to “just move”, refine a specific movement, deepen your understanding of a particular concept, or chat about your career and business (or a mix of all the above), each session will be what you want and need it to be. My opening line is usually: “what do you need from me today?” - then we take it from there.

Session Content

My published rates are the same for everyone.

You can start with an intro package (4 sessions), then choose to purchase either ad hoc sessions or a membership (which significantly discounts the session price but requires weekly commitment over a 6 or 12 months period).

I’m happy to offer a small discount if you purchase a pack of 5 or 10 individual sessions, but please note these will need to be used over the course of, respectively, 2 and 4 months max.

My Rates

But first things first: it all starts with a free 30 min chat to see whether we’re likely to be a good fit. Let’s meet.

“When we are playing or tinkering and being creative it feels like freedom within the Pilates system.”
